About this fellowship
The Women in Diplomacy & Leadership Program (WDL) is a professional development and leadership initiative of the Voice of Diplomacy Institute (VoDI), designed to equip women with the knowledge, practical skills, professional networks, and confidence needed to pursue and strengthen their roles in diplomacy, international relations, public policy, government, international organizations, business, and leadership. The program promotes women's meaningful participation in diplomatic and decision-making spaces through professional education, mentorship, policy dialogue, practical learning, and networking.
Target Audience
Emerging women diplomats, university students, young professionals, researchers, civil society leaders, and aspiring policymakers.
What the fellowship sets out to do
- Develop participants' diplomatic, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Promote women's participation in foreign policy, international relations, and decision-making.
- Strengthen knowledge of diplomacy, international law, peacebuilding, and global governance.
- Connect fellows with experienced diplomats, ambassadors, researchers, and women leaders.
- Encourage policy research, mentorship, and international professional networking.
